This monumental handcrafted centerpiece vase, titled “Swan Fidelity”, is executed entirely in sterling silver with a richly oxidized and tarnished finish that enhances the extraordinary depth and sculptural refinement of the composition. Measuring approximately 50 cm in length (19.69 inches), the piece presents an opulent architectural silhouette inspired by Imperial decorative arts, historic Russian silverwork, and the legendary creations associated with the House of Fabergé.

Part of the series “In Memory of Karl Fabergé,” the vase was conceived as a tribute to the artistic legacy of Peter Carl Fabergé, whose mastery of ornamental luxury objects continues to influence generations of atelier craftsmanship. Throughout the history of the Konforti family atelier, the techniques, philosophy, and artistic standards associated with the Fabergé tradition have served as a continual source of inspiration, particularly in the pursuit of museum level sculptural silverwork and uncompromising hand craftsmanship.

Each vase is made to order and individually handcrafted within our family atelier, with an estimated production lead time of approximately 5 months from order confirmation. As part of the artistic process and provenance of the work, the client receives a complimentary signed original design sketch prepared by the atelier.

The body of the centerpiece is covered in exceptionally intricate double sided openwork ornamentation composed of flowing floral arabesques, scrolling foliage, rosettes, and elongated cartouche motifs executed in deep dimensional relief. The ornamental silverwork is pierced in a delicate net like structure, allowing light to pass subtly through portions of the composition and creating remarkable visual depth from every angle. Every panel is individually sculpted and harmoniously integrated into the architectural curvature of the vessel, creating a continuous rhythm of ornamental movement across the entire surface.

Graceful swans emerge prominently throughout the composition, forming both symbolic and structural elements within the design. In many artistic traditions, the swan represents purity, fidelity, devotion, and the soul itself. Each extended wing evokes elegance and emotional permanence, reflecting the symbolic idea of eternal loyalty to one’s beloved. The sculptural swans appear to protect and support the vessel, lending the work both ceremonial grandeur and poetic symbolism.

The upper border features richly layered ornamental detailing inspired by Imperial neoclassical silver traditions, while the lower openwork gallery introduces additional architectural lightness and refinement. Elaborately sculpted handles terminate in scrolling motifs and stylized floral medallions, reinforcing the balance between symmetry, fluidity, and ornamental sophistication throughout the piece.

The darker oxidized recesses contrast dramatically against the polished sterling silver highlights, emphasizing the remarkable relief work and meticulous handcrafted textures visible from every viewing angle. The result is a museum style centerpiece object with a commanding presence and an exceptional sense of historic luxury.

Each piece is created within the Konforti family atelier, a multi generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti, and founded by master artists Ella Konforti and Yuri Bogoslavsky. Every work is entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques including wax carving, lost wax casting, hand chasing, engraving, piercing, sculptural assembly, and meticulous hand finishing, continuing a shared artistic legacy shaped across generations.
