The monumental centerpiece vase “In Memory of Carl Fabergé” is conceived as a tribute to one of history’s greatest masters of decorative arts. Inspired by the artistic language, technical sophistication, and extraordinary craftsmanship that defined the creations of Peter Carl Fabergé, the composition celebrates the elegance and refinement of Imperial Russian luxury while reinterpreting these traditions through the vision of the Konforti family atelier.
Created in the spirit of the legendary Fabergé masterpieces, the vase faithfully incorporates many of the decorative elements, artistic principles, and traditional techniques associated with the renowned House of Fabergé. Every detail is designed to evoke the grandeur of the late Imperial era, when precious objects transcended functionality and became enduring works of art destined for royal collections and aristocratic interiors.
The centerpiece measures approximately 30 cm in height (11.8 inches) with a diameter of 33 cm (13 inches), creating an impressive presence suitable for display within luxury residences, private collections, executive interiors, and museum-quality decorative environments. The harmonious proportions emphasize both sculptural elegance and visual balance, allowing the piece to command attention from every viewing angle.
The crystal body provides exceptional clarity and brilliance, serving as a luminous focal point while creating a striking contrast against the richly ornamented precious metal framework. The interaction between crystal and metal generates a captivating play of light, depth, and reflection characteristic of the finest luxury decorative objects.
The silver sculptural elements are created using a combination of traditional artistic techniques including fine art casting, hand chasing, and detailed engraving. These labor-intensive methods allow for extraordinary dimensionality and refinement, producing intricate decorative motifs that recall the celebrated craftsmanship of the Imperial Russian ateliers of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Every example is individually handcrafted within the Konforti family atelier and produced entirely to order. The creation process involves extensive sculptural modeling, lost-wax casting, hand engraving, chasing, precious metal assembly, crystal integration, finishing, and meticulous polishing performed by master craftsmen. Due to the complexity of the work, each piece requires substantial atelier production time and represents hundreds of hours of specialized artistic labor.
The Konforti family atelier is a multi-generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti and founded by master artists Ella Konforti and Yuri Bogoslavsky. For decades, the atelier has specialized in the creation of museum-quality luxury objects, monumental chess sets, Judaica, centerpieces, and sculptural works that unite fine art, history, and exceptional craftsmanship.
