Royal Bouquet Decorative Bowl with Plique-à-Jour Enamel Butterfly and Guilloché

This sculptural decorative bowl is part of the monumental “Royal Bouquet” garniture, a work of contemporary atelier craftsmanship inspired by the traditions of Imperial European decorative arts. While originally conceived as part of the complete Royal Bouquet set, the bowl may also be commissioned as an individual piece.
The bowl is hand-carved from richly colored red carnelian, creating a luminous stone vessel with natural depth and warm tonal variation. The structure supporting the bowl is crafted from 18 karat yellow gold, while the hot enamel elements are executed over 960 silver, a high-grade silver traditionally used in fine enameling.

Decorative surfaces feature transparent hot enamel applied over guilloché engraving, producing depth and a refined play of light across the metal. Resting on the rim is a delicate butterfly executed in vitreous hot enamel using the plique-à-jour technique, allowing light to pass through the enamel like stained glass. The butterfly is accented with diamonds and emeralds, enhancing the brilliance of the composition.
Each serving bowl is crafted exclusively for the client, with the possibility to tailor certain details and color palettes to individual preferences. Estimated lead time is 4 months from order confirmation.

A sculptural flower on the stem is set with diamonds, while the leaf on the stem is inlaid with blue topaz, introducing additional color and detail. The base is richly decorated with red carnelians, enamel leaves, and botanical elements, echoing the naturalistic design language of the Royal Bouquet series.

The bowl measures 16cm (6.2in) in height and  approximately 10 cm (3.94 inches) in diameter and functions both as a decorative object and as an elegant serving vessel for sweets or delicacies.

Each piece is handcrafted to order, and the client will receive a complimentary signed original design sketch prepared by the atelier as part of the artistic process and provenance of the commission.

Each piece is created within the Konforti family atelier, a multi-generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti, and founded by master artists Ella and Yuri Bogoslavsky. Every work is entirely handcrafted using traditional techniques, sculptural metalwork, and meticulous stone setting, continuing a shared artistic legacy shaped across generations.
