When the world was still young, it was formed from beauty and love. At its heart stood the Garden of Eden, a paradise, where harmony reigned and innocence defined existence. Adam and Eve walked barefoot upon the living earth, unaware that one moment of choice would begin humanity’s profound journey toward knowledge.

This extraordinary sculptural spoon captures that pivotal moment through masterful carving and noble materials, uniting narrative symbolism with exceptional craftsmanship.
Conceived not only as an object of art but also as a meaningful luxury gift, the spoon carries a deeper symbolic language. Throughout history, the spoon form has been associated with nourishment, continuity, and the sharing of life, making it a timeless emblem of prosperity, family, and generational connection. In this creation, that symbolism is elevated into a sculptural expression, transforming the piece into a powerful and poetic gifting object.
Each sculptural spoon is crafted exclusively for the client, estimated lead time is approximately 4 months from order confirmation.
The spoon measures 20 cm (7.87 inches) in length, creating a balanced proportion between the sculptural ebony handle and the carved smoky quartz bowl.
The handle is hand carved from deep black ebony wood, shaped to evoke the trunk of the Tree of Knowledge. Its organic contours and flowing grain create the impression of living wood rising upward. Coiling around the handle is a meticulously sculpted serpent in solid 960 silver. Each scale is individually detailed by hand, and the serpent’s eyes are set with vivid emeralds, giving the figure intensity and presence.

At the summit rests a sculpted apple carved from luminous yellow jade. The apple’s leaves are finished in translucent hot enamel, layered to achieve natural tonal variation and depth. The enamel brings vitality to the composition while contrasting elegantly with the ebony and silver.
The bowl of the spoon is carved from a single piece of natural smoky quartz. Within the quartz, Adam and Eve are rendered in refined intaglio technique, a recessed carving executed with exceptional precision so the figures seem to emerge from within the stone itself.

The intaglio is set with a perfectly fitting 18K gold sculpture of Adam and Eve, sculpted to mirror the exact forms of the recessed carving. This gold sculptural overlay aligns seamlessly with the intaglio beneath, creating a dimensional dialogue between carved gemstone and sculpted gold. The result is a layered effect where the figures appear both engraved within the quartz and simultaneously rising from it in luminous 18K gold. The precision of the gold sculpture follows every contour of the intaglio, emphasizing depth, anatomy, and movement while adding warmth and classical refinement to the composition.
Encircling the quartz is a frame of 960 silver set with blue sapphires, introducing brilliance and a celestial accent that enhances the narrative symbolism. On the reverse, a silver leaf finished in hot enamel continues the Eden motif, ensuring the work is fully realized from every perspective.
More than a spoon, this is a sculptural object and symbolic artwork, a meditation on innocence, temptation, prosperity, and the enduring bonds of family.
Additionally to the finished piece, the client will receive a complementary signed original design sketch prepared by the atelier and presented as part of the artistic process and provenance of the commission.

Each piece is created within the Konforti family atelier, a multi-generational workshop led by Inga and Barak Konforti, and founded by master artists Ella and Yuri Bogoslavsky.
